I was born and raised in Grand Forks, ND. In 2000, I completed degrees is music education and German education from the University of North Dakota. After teaching English in Europe for a year, I returned to Fargo where I taught German to junior high and high school students. A few years later, I returned to the Universities in pursuit of my dental degree. In 2009, I was awarded my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota.
After an associateship in Wisconsin, I began practicing in McIntosh, Minnesota in 2010. Under the name Win-E-Mac Dental, my team and I have provided quality dentistry for our patients in that location. In 2016, we expanded our practice to provide the same quality services to Red Lake Falls, Minnesota and its surrounding area. At that time, both locations were renamed Lesmeister Dental.
I believe that continuous learning is essential to providing the best, most current dentistry possible. For that reason, I take a significant amount of continuing education. I am also very selective in the types of courses I take, often traveling far distances to take the highest quality education from the best leaders in dentistry. In the past few years I have received extensive training on complex treatment planning and comprehensive dental care from the renowned Pankey Institute, I have participated in study clubs focused on multi-disciplinary treatment through the Spear Institute, I have been a part of regional and national study clubs, taken many topic-specific courses, such as Invisalign certification and dentistry to treat sleep apnea, and participated in many of the local dental events.
When not actively engaged in dentistry, I am usually spending time with my family. My beautiful wife, Sona, and two young boys find all sorts of ways to fill any free time available. I am also active in my local church, playing drums in the worship team most Sunday mornings. I enjoy reading, watching movies, and listening to an eclectic collection of music.
