It is our desire that your first visit to our practice will be something special. Not only will it give us a chance to get to know each other, but it will hopefully be the beginning of a long-term relationship. After completing some initial paperwork, we will likely have a discussion where we can visit about you, any dental concerns you might have, and answer any initial questions. After that, we will gather appropriate x-rays and complete a comprehensive exam of the teeth, the gums, the jaw joint and other related areas. At this point, depending on the needs, we may discuss treatment options in the room, we might gather additional records, or we might arrange for a time that we can discuss options in the future. The main goal is for you to understand your current condition and any treatment options that may be helpful or appropriate. After we have reviewed the options, you and I will develop a plan of action that will address your concerns. This will include the treatment, the timeline, and the financial arrangements that will best allow you to receive the dentistry you desire.
To allow us time to meet, gather all of the information and answer questions, you should expect your first appointment to last at least an hour. This is time we reserve for you, and we want to use it as productively as possible. We therefore ask that you either complete the required paperwork before arriving or come 20-30 minutes early to fill it out in the office. The forms can be downloaded from the links below, we can mail them to you upon request, or we can hand them to you in the office.
